October 15th Wave of Light

Updated: Oct 15, 2023

World Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Did you know that every year on October 15th, families across the world light candles at 7 pm local time to honor all babies who have died in pregnancy or infancy?

It's simple to participate! Just set a reminder for 7 pm on 10/15 (sign up on our mailing list here for a reminder!) to light your candle, then let it blaze for at least one hour to pass the torch to the next time zone.

With families joining in solidarity all over the world, we'll create a continuous 24 hour wave of light in honor of all the babies we are missing! Because every baby #StillCounts.

Here are a few more ways you can get ready for the Oct 15th Int'l Wave of Light:

SHARE YOUR CANDLE

Snap a photo of your candle and share it on social media with the hashtags #waveoflight #stillcounts & #unitedwepush! (Remember to tag @pushpregnancy & @stillcountsorg!)

Or use our customizable graphic! Download here.

JOIN OUR "PASS THE TORCH" VIDEO

Take a video of yourself "passing the torch" of remembrance and saying the name of a baby that you or your loved ones are holding in your hearts. 2021 video below:

Please send your video to info@pushpregnancy.org by 10/10 if you'd like to be included in this year's compilation that will debut on social media on 10/15!

MAKE A CUSTOM CANDLE

Join PUSH Changemakers Ana Vick (@StillMySon) & Bobbie Cohlan on Instagram Live for a tutorial of how to personalize a candle with your baby's name! (All supplies are everyday things you likely have at home!)
